WHERE MUSIC MOVES
WHAT WORDS CAN'T
ABOUT
Zoetic Shift is a space where music brings you back to yourself and into connection with others. Music has always had a way of moving what words can’t. It opens something. It softens, stirs, and allows what’s underneath to rise; whether that’s joy, sadness, release, or just a feeling you didn’t even know was there. Here, you don’t need to show up a certain way. You don’t need to have anything figured out. You don’t need to “do” anything. You just arrive. Some gatherings feel light. Some go deep. Sometimes there’s laughter, sometimes there are tears. But in every case, it’s real. It’s honest. And it’s shared. This isn’t a show. It’s not entertainment. It’s simply people coming together; to move, to feel, to be with each other in a way that most of us crave more of. The music leads. Everything else unfolds. Our gatherings are alcohol- and substance-free so that what happens between us stays clear, present, and fully felt.
FOUNDER STORY
Hi, I'm Jazmin Medrano. I grew up in Santa Maria, California, in a Mexican household where music was everywhere. My dad sold bootleg cassette tapes out of our garage to make extra money. My sister and I would choreograph dances in the backyard while my uncle pretended to be our TV host with a paint brush as a mic. Family gatherings always ended with dancing, food, and music filling every corner. These are some of my best memories. Music, connection, and community, it was all there. At the same time, there were parts of my childhood that weren’t as light. Growing up, I didn’t always feel like I could fully be myself. There was a lot of trying to stay small, trying to be what others needed me to be. I didn’t feel truly seen or accepted for who I was. And when self-expression is a big part of who you are, not being able to express yourself fully can be utterly painful.
As I got older, I followed my passion for music into the industry, working at Universal Music for nearly 8 years in LA and Miami. It was exciting, full of big moments, but also full of its own challenges. Over time, I lost touch with the very thing that brought me into music to begin with, the pure love of it.
At 29, I made a decision that most people didn’t understand: I left my career, sold my stuff, and started traveling the world. I didn’t know what would come next, I just knew I had to listen to that voice inside me. That journey eventually led me to Berlin, where I live now.
In Berlin, I began a deep process of personal healing and transformation. I became a coach and facilitator. I dove into creativity; painting, performance art, improv, and started reconnecting with parts of myself I had shut down for years. But music kept calling me back. Not in the same way as before, not through the business or the industry, but through its power to feel, to connect, to heal, to experience joie de vivre vibez, to bring people together. I started to see how music could be part of my work in a completely new way.
That’s what led me to create Zoetic Shift. A space where music opens the door for people to connect to themselves and each other. Where self-expression is welcomed. Where intimacy isn’t forced but naturally happens when people feel safe enough to be seen. Where community forms not because people are trying to belong, but because they can simply be.
